Customer Profile
A national rail operator, running more than 300 trains each day to over 500 destinations across the U.S. and Canada, Amtrak connects passengers in greener, healthier ways.

Problem
Unreinforced Stainless Steel Door
Structurally unreinforced stainless steel door failed to endure heady subway conditions, bending improperly and becoming detached from its frame frequently by the pressure exerted from moving trains.
Solution
Everline® Stainless Steel Series Strongdor™ with Reinforcement
Allmark technicians removed the damaged door and installed (1) 3′ x 7′ Everline® Stainless Steel Series Strongdor™ with steel-stiffened reinforcement and three durable frame latches for ongoing support.

Approach
Vetted and preferred solution providers trained to meet strict requirements for working at Amtrak facilities, industry specialists at Allmark Door were consulted by the Fire and Life Safety Systems team to design and implement a custom solution able to withstand the pressures of continually fast-moving subway operations. This led to the turnkey installation of an internally and externally reinforced stainless steel pedestrian door system, with an innovative latch configuration fastened to three secure locations, down eight flights of stairs.
Benefits
Reliable Security
Protects pedestrian traffic from serious injuries caused by unstable door access.
Advanced Durability
Designed to easily outlast unreinforced systems for over a 10-year period.
Custom Performance
Delivers peace of mind by adhering to facility requirements for fire and life safety.
